Marz Lovejoy – Sticky

Ive been hearing a lot bout this chick for awhile but still dont know much about her just that she is pretty well known and did the Shine Track with Pac Div. I was really diggin her sound on that track and went looking for more details on her but couldn't find it! 2dbz drop this track of her and I was rocking with her flow this girl is pretty talented. Her project This Little Light of Mine drops November 23rd and this Track "Sticky" is her first single.

Marz Lovejoy-Sticky

Yea you are seeing right one of the illest female streetwear has officially started making Mens Clothing. For years I have been following Married To The Mob clothing just for their simple original designs. They have been very unique and def grew a dope following, even if there clothing was for females you acknowledge there style and creativity to there designs! With dropping there Mens Line they def had to find someone who could rep there M.O.B slogan properly and get a dope Male correspondent to represent. They chose to rock with the Jet Life, Curren$y is def a good look to bring out the Male line. I doubt it be hard to get cats hook, I know I prob cop me a shirt.

RatheMC (Live)

RatheMC delivers a dope performance at the Adidas store in Georgetown. We are getting some tracks from her dope album "Heart Of a Champion" which is a must download. One thing I can say Ra enjoys her performance and takes it seriously and that's something you have to see early in some path to this career. If you can give people a good performance it could set you different from many other artist.

MC Light Up Remix

After showing visuals of River Watch MC gives his verse on Light Up. MC flow has def approved and you can here it on this track with that it is helping with his wordplay. Dope track Listen and Download.

Diesel Present – Only The Brave

Common has linked up with Diesel and has been doing a couple of ads and what not, but he comes to show some of the new artist while promoting the cologne line Only The Brave. They go see artist from Nipsey, Big Sean, Vado and Donnis to show there unique style and area they are from. They want to focus on the "Bravery" that define these artist.

I first saw the Vado video then found the Nipsey video and just watching there stories takes place. In both of these artist you hear the hunger in there voice that shows there determination. Vado right now is trying to put NY on back on the map and I feel like he is actually the only one who can do this now. I am going try to keep these video's posted and find out when they drop.

Maestro Knows - Episode 8 (Professor Wonder)

Maestro Knows - Episode 8 (Professor Wonder) from Maestro Knows on Vimeo.

I haven't posted any Maestro vids in awhile and this prob one of my favorite ones though. I would really transfer to Duke even though I hate that school so much just to take this class!

In this episode follow Maestro & his friend 9th Wonder to North Carolina's own DUKE University for Mr. Wonder's class on sampling soul. Also gain insight on the way one of hip-hop's most important producers feels about the importance of understanding one's own culture.

Wale Charity event (School Of Rock)

PatisDope got the chance to cover Charity event at Mary Mcleod Bethune Day Academy Public Charter School. Wale was showing the community in the area he grew up some love and giving back to the kids he also brought with him Roscoe Dash. You have to really enjoy seeing this just because you see how happy and crazy these kids really went for them good stuff. Who says Rappers don't give back? lol

Add-2 - Come On

Unnecessary Beef ; Kid Cudi x Wale

I wasn't really going to talk about this topic because I know everyone did but I just had to. If you did not know Wale and Kid Cudi have little tension going on which was pretty popular on the twitter time line today after seeing the Cudder's Complex interview. This is def something that has been brewed up for awhile and its more than JoeBuddenTv situation with Wale. If you have not seen the article here is the excerpt focused on Wale.

You’re big on not having your music compared to anyone else’s.
Kid Cudi: Did you see that Wale interview that he just did, comparing us to sports? Let me clear this up: I’m incomparable to anybody. I don’t care how people take that. No one can compete with me. I’m unfuckwittable; no one can knock me off my shit. I’m an unstoppable force, I’m a bullet. My trajectory is to the sky. Niggas got to do something really spectacular to fuck with me and my realm, and niggas be so bitter that you hear it in their voice.
Speaking of Wale, when you hit that fan at your show last December, he came out with a line about it ["Throwin' 'round wallets like the dude that Kid Cudi hit," from "Thank You Freestyle"].
Kid Cudi: It wasn’t a shot, it’s just a simple-ass rhyme by a simple-ass rapper. You can’t let that shit faze you. That’s one of those raps that just shows the world that you wack. Why would you even use that as a metaphor? Everybody think they Hov. Niggas ain’t got the magic like they think they do; there’s only a couple of wizards in this game. I’m a wizard and I know it.

Whatever has been going on between these former "Friends" it must be something serious. Many have said it because Wale was upset at Cudi for not putting I guess good words with Kanye and giving him some beats but it has to be more than that. These are two smart artist and they know they cant let business get between them. Cudi cant tell Kanye to do shit its YE, and wouldn't in ruin his own credibility just to keep forcing this situation?

Wale must of read the article himself because the comment on twitter below. This is one of those situations both artist are to busy to fall into anything bigger I doubt and I hope it wont because I really rock with both. It will have of course typical jabs here and there, still think it was something Cudi shouldn't have said but it is what it is. He should of really just went to wale and they both figure what the hell is going on because they make dope tracks together and its a shame its going to this.

Me and Premo were talking about the situation and many people didn't realize it and I didn't realize it till now either but Wale has addressed the situation way before his twitter comments. In the song Number Won Wale goes on to say :

"Desire get confused and you could lose your direction ,
I lost my connection with a bredren,
Athlete mentality so fuck my competition ,
Me and him was homeless , maybe we still cool ,
But every time we book , we stay in our green room ,
Maybe its on me , or brother its on you ,
Or maybe its they fault that we aint holla since June ,
Fuck it we on the move , none of use tryna lose ,
I am out of this world and you a man on the moon ,
I'll meet you in the sky"

If you listen to the track Wale sounded genuinely upset with the situation. By reading these lyrics you know its about him and Cudi with the Man on the Moon reference.

I would write more but eh yall gets the point of it, this is a unnecessary beef between two people who should get over it just make music. Sad to see what the business does to folks but it happens, Am I choosing sides ? NOPE just feel like these are some real emotions from real folks. How about Ye and Jay come and fix the situation lol?

Cant we all just be FRIENDS?

Was sent couple days ago never checked it out but YRB & Swizz link up and have nice event.

810 - Open mic

Something new for Dats Dope, Baltimore native Rapper 810 sends me a track that was featured on Refined 1 year anniversary mixtape that was linked up with Open mic is a ill track starts of real mellow but hits you with a dope story. I checked out other songs of dude and he def has something, make sure you listen to this track and try the Glass Half Full mixtape he has Datpiff.

Lil' B

Many people might yell at me about this post and think I am really smacked off that yeaa but I am NOT and this is an actual post on Lil 'B. None of it bashing him neither but you have to know if its gracing Dats Dope it ought to get some type of listen and understanding.

If you do know who LiL B is you know him for this, but for the ones who don't know he is a 'Rapper" that most people hate because they say he is so wack he is as bad as 50Tyson blah blah blah. I was the first to be like I would never listen to anything of his music there would be no point I just know its garbage.

I started seeing some video's pop up websites that I generally read and browse through, but I started noticing them more and more. So I had to check it out, and surprisingly it was actually decent. It was so decent I was actually confused if this was the same artist, I had to go on youtube google him to see if it was the same person I really wasn't sure. He knocks out a lot his voice changing and actually has couple deep lyrics on these tracks.

I started thinking this must be something going on where you see artist doing this a lot, and many of you heard this where artist have really dumbed themselves down just to sell some records. They have to put on this act I guess to make money and take away what they actually have. I am not saying "O SHIT THIS NIGGA LIL B IS THE GOODS" but I am pointing out he is not what he is portraying himself to be just to get that $$ and there is prob a lot of other artist who actually could be good but are focused on the money and not the music anymore

If you disown me because of this I am sorry LOL but blame PREMO

Pilot Talk 2

Curren$y - Pilot Talk 2 from Creative Control on Vimeo.

You all ready for Pilot Talk 2? I know I am, Curren$y def breaking through and catching a lot more people attention with his projects. With staying linked up with Creative Control really benefited him as an artist by just separating him from other artist. The visuals are all so different and just catch your eye, the Spitta definitely knows what he is doing.

Nous Sommes Jewelry Video

I am not biggest accessories fan in the world, i don't wear much jewelry and what not but I do enjoy them. I enjoy a lot of the creativity and craftsmanship that goes into making them, like the small details they might add and you wont notice till later. Nous Sommes is this group out of Paris that are designing some dope pendants with music and other celebrity icons. Check out some photos of them here

Rocksmith 2010 Fall “I’m the Man” Collection Video

Rocksmith gives us a glimpse of what to see in this upcoming lookbook. Rocksmith easily in the top of my favorite streetwear brand just from the material to the dope simple designs they have, but the most important part is the Hip-Hop they mix with the clothing and it just feels classic but still a modern feel. You can never go wrong with that,
